Kyra Panagia village (Κυρά Παναγία) is a small, but beautiful situated settlement in Karpathos, which is located about 15 kilometers away from Pigadia. The houses of the settlement were built at the exit of a deep valley, surrounded by steep cliffs and high mountains. Kyra Panagia can be reached by car or by motorcycle through a narrow and winding road, which is asphalted and offer amazing views to the deep blue Aegean Sea.
At the end of the road you can find some free parking lots, many of them are shaded under the trees. To reach the amazing Kyra Panagia beach you have to walk through the village, but there are no particularly long distances: the village is quite small, with a total length of 200 meters.
Kyra Panagia is maybe a tiny place, but visitors can find restaurants with traditional Greek food, rooms for accommodation, beach bars, and of course a mini market. The streets of the village and the entire area of the beach are filled with flowers such as large oleanders, bougainvilleas and geraniums.
