A very small, but friendly Mikro Amoopi beach is a very shallow, child friendly beach in Karpathos, which is also known as Little Amoopi beach on maps. This is one of the smallest beach in the area, but its features are favoured by many families and kids.

Where is Mikro Amoopi beach in Karpathos Island, and how to access

Mikro Amoopi (Little Amoopi beach) can be find on the north part of Amoopi village, on the north side of Mega Amoopi beach. Its access is quite easy in Amoopi village, because there are some a parking lots behind the beach. From the central parts of Amoopi, where Votsalakia and Mega Amoopi beaches are situated next to each other, a walk to Little Amoopi beach takes just about 5 minutes due to its location.

The nearest parking lots are behind the beach, but once these are full, within walking distance there can be find several parking places also for free. From the bus stop in the center of Amoopi the distance is approx. 500 meters, which takes 6-8 minutes of walking.

It is considered as one of best beaches for children in Karpathos, and very family friendly, where the seabed is shallow, covered by golden sand and the area is protected from the winds most of the time.

The beach is filled with parasols and sunbeds, and due to its tiny size there are just a few empty places: it can be crowded during some summer season weeks. The sand is soft here and it is capable to build sand castles and tunnels for kids.

Behind Mikro Amoopi (Little Amoopi) beach there can be find Amoopi Nymfes apartments and restaurant, which is the nearest tavern, the other restaurants are slightly further away. In walking distance you can try Dimitrios Fisherman’s taverna or Kalypso Restaurant behind Mega Amoopi beach.
